Praise is more than something we exercise in a church building. Most people only offer praise to the Lord in the following circumstances:
- When something unexpected but good happens
- When they congregate with other believers
- When they are having devotions
- When they have a “close call.”
If these are the only times we praise the Lord, then I can guarantee that Satan is taking advantage of your weaknesses and flesh much of the time… at least alot more than you’d like (or like to admit).
God actually designed that praise would be a weapon for Believers. Have you ever thought of it that way?
Consider the following. In the face of an attack, when praise is employed as a first-line of offense:
- It brings a God-ward perspective back into the situation producing almost immediately a calmed heart and clear head
- It brings disorientation, determent and damage to the enemy
- It brings deliverance to you and another testimony of God’s power in your life
Don’t sheath the weapon of praise! Employ it! Enjoy it! Be empowered by it!
