My passion is to give you the must-know information that will help you in living out a victorious life for the Lord Jesus Christ.
Nothing that I say in the future lessons will have any application or value if you don’t understand the first Key Truth presented in this lesson.
I would guess that there is a very good chance that you have settled this issue already… the issue that Jesus is the Only Way have access to salvation and access to God.
But if not, please know this…
No bases you run will count if you skip first base. What you do at home plate means nothing if first base was ignored. It’s like that in life.
“First Base” in life is embracing the following facts:
- We Are All Natural-Born Sinners
“All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23 – Every person who has ever lived has missed God’s standard of perfection.
- GOD Loves You & in HIS SON JESUS, we see God’s Justice And Love
“God is love.” 1 John 4:8 – “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life.” John 3:16 – While God loves us and doesn’t want to punish us, we should also know that, as a just God, He must punish sin. – “The soul who sins shall die.” Ezekiel 18:4
Jesus is the infinite God-man, God in the flesh. He died on the cross and paid our sin-debt for us, in our place, and rose from the dead, all of which He offers as a free gift. For those who trust in him for this incredible spiritual provision, He has reserved a place for them in Heaven.
- Eternal Life Is a Gift Received By Faith
Saving faith is not merely intellectual assent. It is trusting in Jesus Christ alone and what He has done rather than what we can do to get us to heaven “what must I do to be saved? Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved.” Acts 16:30b, 31 – the Bible says, “Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
- The BOTTOM LINE: Salvation is an Available, Accessible and Free Gift
“The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Romans 6:23 – We can’t earn our way to heaven and none of us really deserves to go. It is a gift. If you haven’t already, would you receive it today?
- YOU Have to Decide
To evade a decision is a decision to reject Jesus Christ as Savior. Acceptance or rejection, there is no middle ground.
And, no one can make the decision for you. Only you can decide for yourself.
Questions? Something about all this you don’t understand? Let me know today.
You can begin a relationship with God and a new life now by praying a simple prayer with sincerity:
Lord Jesus, I admit I am a sinner. I hate my sin. I know that I do not deserve eternal life. But I believe You died in my place for my sins and rose from the grave to purchase me for Heaven and your Glory and purposes in my life. Thank you, Jesus, for that fact. Jesus, come into my life, take control of my life, forgive my sins, and save me. Give me the new heart that you promised. I am now placing my trust in You alone for my salvation, and I accept your free gift of eternal life.
If you prayed that prayer, please let us know today! We are excited about it and want to encourage you in your new relationship with the Lord.
