FAQ
What is SNS Ministries and who is Scott Smith?
S.N.S. Ministries is a 501(c)3 non-profit ministry that exists to support, expand, and enhance the preaching and teaching ministry of Scott Newton Smith, distinctive in its commitment to the exposition of the Scriptures, intended to educate and motivate believers to live the victorious Christian life while reaching others with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
SNS Ministries’ President, Scott Smith [bio] travels as a full-time itinerant preacher and motivator. His Scripture-driven preaching presented in a dynamic, relevant, and expository fashion.

What is the vision for SNS Ministries?
Our vision is that all believers with whom we are given the privilege of communicating to would reach their potential in Christ.
What does Scott charge to come speak?
Nothing. Scott comes to minister on a love offering basis. We only ask that travel expenses be paid from the church budget, which is standard practice. Financial policies PDF.
What are the beliefs of SNS Ministries?
An outline of our beliefs can be found by clicking here.
What venues does SNS Ministries use for preaching?
Church-wide events (local church) such as spiritual renewal conferences, revival events, “Super Sundays,” camps, retreats, rallies, and regular church services as its primary preaching platforms.
How are these venues booked with SNS Ministries?
Venues are booked on a first-come, first-served basis as God opens the doors. As pastors, youth pastors, and organizational leaders contact the ministry as led by the Lord, appointments are made.
How far in advance does SNS Ministries book events?
It varies. Scott books up quickly, but it is always worth to call.
Is it possible to preview Scott Smith’s preaching before booking him?
Yes. See our Audio/Video page or contact us for a full-length message.
Where does the money come from for day-to-day operations?
Operating expenses are underwritten by contributions from individuals and churches, supplemented by modest sales of books, audio, and resource materials.

Scott N. Smith is the only full-time paid staff member of SNS Ministries. Scott also employs a part-time administrative assistant and those to whom we use for outsourcing projects.
Is Scott Smith’s personal income a set figure or does it fluctuate with the income of the ministry?
Scott’s personal salary is set by the ministry’s Board of Directors. While a drastic decline in income to the ministry could, of course, negatively affect Scott’s salary, an immediate increase in ministry income (e.g. because of a large love offering or donation or otherwise) would have no direct affect on Scott’s personal salary.
What type of expenses exist apart from salaries in a ministry such as SNS?
Other expenses include: office rent, printing, postage, telephone costs, office equipment, office supplies, insurance, some lodging costs and other travel expenses, ministry automobile repairs and maintenance, meals for Scott while traveling, and special event costs.
In smaller churches, the ministry will sometimes absorb some or all of the travel expenses. Other miscellaneous expenses also exist that may not be mentioned here.
