Dear Pastor,
Greetings. It is an honor that you would take the time to peruse my site and learn more about this ministry. Your interest matters to me.
May I share from my heart a minute?
Besides the simple call of God, you are a big reason that I have spent my life on the road since 1996. My best friends in life are pastors. I care about local church ministry. I share your belief that the Local Church is the means by which God impacts a community, a district, even a region for Christ. So goes the Church, so goes the nation.
And I am driven by a vision of what can happen when God’s people go deeper and higher in their Christian life. I am driven by a passion to see The Body function as it should, as it’s member function from a healthy, maturing Christian walk.
What do you want for your church?
- Are you wanting your people exposed to a new, fresh voice–one you can trust with your pulpit–hearing that voice echo many of your own words, building your authority as their pastor?
- Are you wanting to for a short while come aside and sit along with your congregation and be fed?
- Is your church needing a time of refreshing where a little extra time is set aside to go deeper as a local body?
- To embrace again key truths for victory?
- To walk toward new vistas of the overcoming life?
My desire is to use my ministry gifts to help churches and pastors. (That’s why we went so far as to start our online radio show for pastors, The Sermonators.)
When I spend time with you during a meeting, I will look you in the eye and ask you what your current challenges are. I want to hear your story. I care about your ministry. I want to be an asset to what God is already doing through you in your church. I want to be a small part of moving your God-given vision for your church forward in some way. And I truly want to be a personal encouragement to you.
With all humility, let me warn you: this ministry is not for everybody. It is not a fit for every “church.”
In all honesty, I am aware that there are places I might be invited to speak where I might not be considered a blessing as a guest speaker.
This ministry works best for pastors who desire a guest speaker who will:
- Preach with the conviction that the Scriptures are inerrant and the final authority for faith and practice.
- Build rapport with their people through (tasteful) humor.
- Preach text-driven messages.
- Rebuke only when necessary and do so in love in hopes of building up, not tearing down.
- Look for areas of common belief for edification, avoiding ” foolish controversies, arguments … and fights about the law [for] these things are useless and worthless.”
- Avoid hype and psychological manipulation, instead relying on Spirit-inspired Truth to do its work.
- Speak on a love offering basis.
If you feel that this ministry might be something that would be a blessing to your church, read through the About Us information and then give me a call. My personal cell number is (865) 771-3281. I look forward to hearing from you.
May God richly bless you, your family and your ministry.
Your friend in the ministry,

Scott Newton Smith
Scott’s preaching is easy to listen to, but hard to ignore. It is powerful because his systematic, expositional style allows the Word of God to speak plainly while using illustrations as a tool to help make the points memorable and relevant.— Pastor Ronnie C. Brown, Swift Creek Baptist Church, Midlothian, VAHis humor causes people to let down their guard only to find themselves powerfully impacted by the truth of Scripture.
We have had Scott numerous times and our people love him, always responding positively to his ministry. He will leave your people spiritually healthier than they were before he came.
I can truthfully say that he is one of my favorite preachers. I recommend Scott Smith and his ministry without reservation.
